Sterling Silver Lace Rose Pendant

This sterling silver rose pendant has a pressed lace pattern giving it a pretty and delicate look.

The pendant measures approximately 56.8x57.7mm, including the bail. It is on a spiga chain measuring 16 inches with a fixed 2" extension chain so that it can be worn as an 18" chain. The approximate weight (including chain) is 11.7g.

The pendant is hallmarked.

The design for this pendant came from the patterns found in lace. I created it by pressing some beautiful lace into a piece of sterling silver. I then pierced the rose shape and bail out of the silver using a jewellers saw. I created the bail by soldering it in place on the pendant, whilst still allowing some movement, and then polished it to a high shine.

The first pieces I made using these techniques were a necklace and earrings I created for my wedding, to complement the lace in my wedding dress. They were real showstoppers! I also made pendants and cufflinks in a flower shape as gifts for my new husband and friends and family who played a special part in our wedding. So, these lace pieces will always have a special place in my heart.
